Artistic and Executive Director
Mr. Kaiser began his dance training at age four. By age seven Mr Kaiser was performing professionally together with his brothers. Appearances on network television, nationwide touring including the New York State Worlds Fair. By age 15 Mr Kaiser had studied Tap, Jazz and Ballet. Retiring from the stage due to knee injuries by age 22, Mr Kaiser continued teaching master classes and did guest performances for many local dance organizations.
In 2000, Mr Kaiser became a regular guest performer and instructor for Washington Contemporary Ballet. In 2005, Mr Kaiser became the Artistic Director for WCB. Under his direction, Mr Kaiser expanded their Repertoire to include many new choreographic works by guest and resident choreographers. His eclectic presentations were always well received by audiences. Mr Kaiser also hosted the Metropolitan Dance Festival. This annual event brought together many of the Puget Sound Regions dance companies for one performance following an entire day of rehearsals and classes by taught by guest instructors.
Marie is from Buffalo, NY and began her training at Jill Squiteri Academy of Ballet. She began studying at the Neglia Conservatory of Ballet in 2006. Marie has performed in many Neglia Ballet Artists productions, including Giselle, Baba Yaga, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Balanchine’s Serenade. She has performed professionally with the company since 2010. In addition to being a member of Neglia Ballet Artists, Marie taught as an instructor at Neglia Conservatory of Ballet from 2013-2017.
Master Class Instructor/Artistic Advisor
Ms. Marianna started her Ballet training at the age of five at Keyla Ermecheo's Ballet School in Caracas, Venezuela; where she graduated as a classical Ballet Dancer. She joined Metropolitan Ballet of Caracas under the artistic direction of Keyla Ermecheo. During that time she performed many classical and neo-classical repertoire including: Giselle act II, Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire (pas de deux), Bayaderka Trio, Nutcracker, Apollo (Balanchine), Paquita, and was able to be a part of the World Festival and perform at Pace University in New York.
Four years later she joined National Ballet Caracas under the artistic direction of Vicente Nebreda where she toured to other countries and all around the United States performing predominantly Nebreda's and Balanchine's work. After guest performing in Tulsa Ballet's Nutcracker and Romeo and Juliet, she joined Ballet Memphis in August, 2001 under the artistic direction of Dorothy Gunther Pugh. With the company, she was able to perform in numerous ballets by renowned choreographer's such as Trey McIntyre, Mark Godden (Carmina Burana), Lila York, George Balanchine, Garret Ammon, Julia Adams and Joseph Jeffries. She trained under: Carmen Estela Fernández, Nela Lanz, Johana Fernández, Rafael Portillo, Irina Ivanova, Marina del Elmo, Vladimir Issaev, Vladimir lopoukhov, Eric Volodin, Maya Samokhalova, Ruta Butviliene, Rumen Rachev, Rubén Echeverría and Keyla Ermecheo. Ms. Marianna has taken the mat and reformer courses in Stott Pilates under the direction of Tamara Hoffmann and dedicates full time to teaching the art of Ballet.
Ms. Gray is classically trained in ballet and has been a member of the Metropolitan Ballet of Tacoma performing company since 2015. Ms Gray has been a teacher assistant and been an instructor for MBT as well. She also has taught ballet classes in her private studio since 2015.
In June, Ms Gray danced with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago in their intermediate/advanced summer intensive. Ms Gray has been blessed to have the opportunity to perform in MBT ballets and Repertiores as a member of the Corps de Ballet and soloist roles.
Marisela Fleites is a Cuban-born dancer of Spanish descent. She started dancing flamenco and Spanish dances at the age of 5, and has studied in Cuba, Spain, Mexico and the USA with masters like Olga Bustamante, Orlando Vargas, Stella Arauzo, Mari Carmen Guerrero, Oscar Nieto, Timo Lozano, Teo Morca, Citli Ocampo, Patricia Linares, Adriana Maresma, María Chacha Bermúdez and others. Ms. Fleites directs the performing group, Tacoma Flamenca. She holds a Ph.D. in Romance Languages and Literature and teaches Spanish and Latin American Literature at Green River College.
Hip Hop Instructor
Ms. Ariel began dancing at age seven and is trained in Traditional Filipino Folk Dancing. She was a member of PAYO, The Pilipino American Youth Organization from 2010 to 2014. Ms Ariel is a self taught Hip Hop dancer specializing in Break dancing/Bgirling. Ariel was the captain of the Rogers High School Break Dance Team, 2013 to 2015. She choreographs and teaches children at after school programs throughout Tacoma. She also is an officer for UWT’s dance group, ECHO. Ariel has been performing in the Seattle/Tacoma area since 2010 and is a well respected member of the dance community.
Ballet, Jazz and Lyrical Instructor
Amanda Grantham has been a student of dance for more than 13 years. Her passion is in Ballet, Jazz and Lyrical. Amanda began her training in Trenton NJ at Hamilton Ballet Technique under the direction of Julie Caprio. Amanda was also a competitive dancer and studied under Kelly Gordorn and Maria Quezada. Amanda has won numerous awards and received invitations to compete at regional and national competitions.
Amanda’s ballet training has earned her lead roles in The Nutcracker and Giselle. Amanda and her family are stationed at JBLM and are a welcome addition to Puget Sound Dance Academy.
